Sixth form rejection 3 out of 10

And you guessed it, I got rejected from another sixth form - third strike in a row! Life has hit me three times. This time it was Townley, in all honesty it would have been nice to get an offer to keep my options open however it was not my preferred school but it would have been close third or second. As many of you know who have read my other two blogs about rejection, I am coming to terms that I will probably not get into any of the grammars, as I am not smart enough- clearly.

Personally, I love my friends but I am also jealous of them too, I am so proud of them for getting offers but then as I have said before the more they talk about it, it makes me feel worthless and small. Of course any type of rejection is going to make you hurt or feel bad, and in a couple of days you'll get over it, but you have to find the right way to deal with it and make sure all the feelings do not build up inside.
To be honest these rejections and uncertainties about not getting an offer or not knowing where I could go in September has made me less motivated for the exams and revision. It Is so easy to comfort someone else and give them support and advice, but when it comes to myself it's hard to take my own advice. Don't get me wrong I am going to try my best. People say to try your best, but what they fail to tell you is that sometimes your best does not always ensure success. This is because the case could be that your best is someone else's minimum best, therefore you are expected to push yourself to the limit. How far does people want you to push yourself? do they want you heaving and grovelling on the ground until you cannot keep your eyes open and you have nothing left inside of you. Education is much more limiting than the working environment, if you think how can people struggle when you find it so easy, just stop and have compassion as no one is like you. If you are breezing through it, you are one of the lucky ones, if you say you revise and you tried so hard to get where you are, well how about those people that try even harder but still fail to move up.

Everyone is different and you cannot expect people to succeed and find everything at the same pace as you. Furthermore, to those who judge someone who find things difficult that they think is baby work, you need to leave them alone as things they succeed and not succeed in does not affect you, the only time you should ever speak of not succeeding to a person is if you are trying to encourage them or give them confidence. Compassion is very important - "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries, without them humanity cannot survive." ( Dalai Lama)

Additionally, people have to remember that "Dying is easy, living is hard" - (If I stay). For those of you who struggle you have to be proud that you're living and trying to get through it, because it will make you stronger. - "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"

Always supporting and voting for you.

  1. [ Smiles ] Don't let rejection spoil your day.

There is an old saying that states, "As one door closes, another one opens."

Don't focus on the closed door.

Do have yourself a wonderful weekend!
